Reorganized in 2008, the Independence Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to promoting the economic growth of Independence. The Independence Chamber of Commerce is governed by more than 50 member businesses who elect a 4-member board of directors that determines policies and sets goals. The board elects a president who handles the daily Chamber operations. The Independence Chamber of Commerce’s goals and yearly planned program of action are accomplished through the collective efforts of the board, and many dedicated volunteers. Whether you're planning a visit or interested in relocating to Independence, Chamber members are ready to help you connect to the local resources you need.
